I love seasonal events in games, I hope the trend continues.

It’s the best surprise in offline (esp older) games that don’t even get updates anymore still have pre-programmed seasonal events because they read your system clock.

Dead by Daylight is funniest. It’s already a game about terrifying horror, but then for Halloween they add a lot of silly spooky pumpkin-related event deco and mechanics.

I haven’t played many online games, mainly World of Tanks, but Halloween and Christmas were the best times in that game. It may be stupid, but nothing made me feel Christmas as much, as firing up that game at the beginning of December, seeing a large Christmas tree in the main menu and hearing the sounds of a Christmas fare.

That’s the fun part. I remember the first time I saw pumpkin heads in d2. I was deleting pumpkin heads left and right and I’d turn a corner and end up back at spawn. Fun times

I remember farming Halloween masks in TF2. My inventory’s still full of them, and I can hear the spooky noise the server played when they dropped.

I don’t care for Halloween though. In contrast, even though I hate LoL, I love Christmas, and I remember the Christmas music and the silly Christmas modes very fondly.
