I’m 54 and can run circles around most people, and I have light emphysema. These posts weird me out as well. Got a few theories about these people.

    1. They’re fat and the extra weight has stressed their joints and back. If they’re American the odds are for it.

    2. Never really exercised. Took my kids (9 & 11) on a hike to the creek. “How much further daddy?!” “Whole trip’s only 1.2 miles, we’re about halfway.” <howls of outrage> We started elementary gym class, every single day, with a mile jog.

    3. Around 30+ is when you first start noticing that you’re aging and just might not be 10-foot tall and bulletproof much longer. Maybe they’re exaggerating?

      1. is probably a lot of it. You’re always the oldest you’ve ever been, and (as far as I know) everyone only ever experiences aging the first time. Everyone’s constantly pushing into unknown age territory and no one has the benefit of comparing how they feel now to how they’ll feel in the future, it’s just now vs when we were younger and likely fitter.
