I worry about what happened to Russia. And I can see things going the same here. The people wanted true communism. They really wanted it.

They took out the monarch. And then slipped into nationalism dictatorship. Not communism.

They managed to somewhat get out of that but they are still in an authoritarian regime that pretends to be a democracy.

I think in order to prevent corruption, a lot of restrictions need to be made on law makers and the government.

And there is a problem here. They will just change the rules later to take that power. This has happened in the u.s. Especially after 9-11.

So you have to make it so that neither law makers, nor the people, (who can be manipulated with propaganda and fear mongering) also can’t ever change these restrictions.

    That there are no exceptions.

Almost like we need a completely new constitution. A stronger checks and balance system.

I think we also need a government that reflects the demographics of the people.
    Half should be women.
    Only 40% should be white.

I don’t know of a reasonable way to make this happen without causing problems but shouldn’t the people be represented by someone like them?

If half the supreme Court was women, I doubt female reproductive rights would even be up for debate.

Also the president shouldn’t be able to appoint his cabinet nor judges. I’m not sure who should nominate them but presidents pick sycophants too often.

Each cabinet position should have required credentials. Like a medical license. Higher Education degree. Years of experience. Etc. All should require a PhD or equivalent.

I also think if a president dies then a new vote is called. Within 6 months.
