Call his bluff. He just wants to wag his dick around. So mexico should mobilize their army at the border and say “cross this line and you are declaring war.”

Guaranteed someone up high makes him understand how politically stupid that would be. Probably in pictures. With small words.

Yeah, this is great. We’re going to (illegally) invade Mexico ane Venezuela simultaneously, while also occupying our own cities that don’t go along the paramilitary immigration Gestapo. Oh, and we’re also waging chaotic, impulsive trade wars with literally every country on Earth. Maybe we can get a ground war going in Russia as well, really speed run the imperial collapse.

Take note how few people are commenting/demanding the Epstein files now compared to a few weeks ago.

    The zone has flooded.

No he isn’t, he isn’t declaring war with mexico, that would be REALLY, REALLY stupid.

This is one of his horrible attempts at negotiating with Mexico, but it just comes across as insanity.

The US hasn’t “technically” been at war since WW2. We weren’t “at war” during the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War…

Technically and laws don’t apply to this administration, if he were to declare war the Republicans would just predate a declaration of war and say it’s legal.

HW Bush proved a president can without any repercussions no matter how illegally the war is declared. We lost that power check a long time ago.

He clearly violated the letter and spirit of the law with the attack on Panama. According to historians. The prevailing analysis I’ve heard is that both parties didn’t want to impeach him because the fallout from Nixon was considered too big a national problem to revisit.

My guess would be loads of bombs, drones and unnecessary suffering

Mind you, this wouldn’t be anything different from the three day operation in Ukraine.

The results wouldn’t be the same as Ukraine, there is no way that Mexico can defend itself against the US but…

We got boat loads of Narcos there with US special forces training and guns supplied by the US and they know the territories like the back of their hands

Sounds familiar? If anyone though Afghanistan nwas bad, wait until the first load of US soldiers are hanging from bridges or star in beheading videos, because that is what will happen when the US invades Mexico.

That doesn’t even begin to talk about what Mexicans on US soil could pull off.

The US would destroy Mexico, that’s for sure, because that is what the US does best, pretending it comes to liberate while absolutely devastating the country they invade, then it gets it’s ass handed back.

México would destroy the US in kind. Not by conquering it or something, but by similar guerilla tactics that have been used in Afghanistan, etc. the amount of US soldiers coming back in coffins, combined nwith attacks on US soil will kill this joke of a presidency

Nope. “aren’t meant to destabilize” (the foreign government) doesn’t excuse the move.

The only way this can work is “with permission from the foreign government”

I have honestly been saying this for years. Why are Americans stomping around the Middle East to stop half baked groups of religious insurgents when there are cartels right on their border and inside. We all know this is just posturing, as Americans and the GoP love bombing the Middle East and consuming cartel drugs

Yeah, I’ve had this thought for a while now. Why not fight the cartels and make Mexico a great place to live. Then we wouldn’t have so many trying to come to the US. It could unironically solve the “immigration problem” if done properly.
