He’s not wrong. But God, I wish he was wrong. If people kept up with tech, they’d be here on lemmy. Instead, people give up based on ignorance.

Edit: Guys, he’s a broken clock. Stop trying to debate a broken clock. You’re making us look bad. I know we’re getting close to an election, but pull your heads out of your asses. We don’t need to convince people here. I know I’M voting Kamala and will also discuss discourse. Downvote that if you want to. You guys can support Donnald Trump’s info wars if you want to, as well.

I’m voting Kamala and then protesting. The rest of you can suck Trump’s flacid, fascist dick. I’m disappointed in you guys.

People know what an app is. They may not understand how it works fully but you’re gunna have to be ok with the fact that this is a mildly niche community and you can know a lot of tech stuff these days without being particularly passionate about it.

Trump not knowing what an app is just shows that he’s beyond regular stupid, below even what could be considered the barest level of “in touch”.

They know app icons. That’s about it. I don’t think most people could even define the difference between software and hardware.
