I actually hope that the worst happen to Americans. They’re never going to learn until they suffer greatly.

And yes, I know I’m also going to suffer those same consequences but I’m okay with that.

I mean, Covid-19? Our handling of that was a disaster, and it hardened support.

What would be enough of a shock, even theoretically?

WWIII? A US Tiananmen Square? I don’t think anything short of nuclear war would cut it, and even then his polls would only fall like 20%.

Trump should absolutely lower the price of evertyhing. Pressure the federal reserve to hike the prime rate to 25%, push us straight into a depression, and watch just how fast the price of eggs and gas plummets.

I mean, lower prices are the most important thing apparently and since the majority of Americans want that at all costs, this strategy should be ok with them, right?

          Honestly… yeah. Literally.

Make it even simpler, just send everyone a check with Trump’s face on it like during Covid.

Most Americans don’t really understand macroeconomics and are just looking at super-market prices for their next meal and trip. And those covid checks worked, people freaking loved Trump for that.

The average voter will blame the Dems for the economic issues that Republicans cause, like they always do.

Americans have suffered greatly and chose to elect the cause of that suffering, Republicans.

Look at the states that put in constitutional protections for abortions and then elected Republicans to national office who will pass a nationwide abortion ban. They will never learn.

Yup. My wife and I were taking about just that thing about my old state of Missouri. Brought up my memories of talking to the union guys I worked with there who voted down right to work legislation, voted in even more Republicans into the legislature, and then had a shocked Pikachu conversation when the legislature they voted in immediately tried to pass right to work again.

They’re fucked, were fucked, and they’ll still blame Democrats.

That’s just the thing. Suffering isn’t going to do it. People can suffer near-infinitely. Education is what makes people learn, and the keys to the education system in this country were just signed over to the fascists.

Really? We just had two years of inflation due to COVID, was controlled and millions of god damn stupid Americans lost their minds and voted in a literal convicted criminal, rapist, and racist into the oval office with his party controlling the House and Senate. No, the American people need to suffer to learn at this point.

Did we learn the last four years we suffered? Or before that? Or before that?

What countries have you seen that have suffered so much they ‘learned a lesson’?

No problem, some Americans deserve it after voting in a convicted felon, legally found to be a rapist, openly Nazi person into the presidency along with the Senate and House.
