It’s kinda funny since the word conservative would suggest you wouldn’t want to change a lot and keep things the way they are.
Maybe it’s better to stop calling them conservatives and start calling them regressives since they’re basically making everything worse than it ever was.
Democrats are now conservatives. Republicans are straight up fascists at this point. They are no longer advocating for personal/state rights, small government, and a strict interpretation of the constitution. They want the governemnt to set prices, bully citizens/residents, establish a religion/theocracy, and restrict speech.
We should’ve been calling them this since the 1950s. And even this is too kind - they are terrorists. Their policy platform is (and has been) to oppress, kill, and exploit.

Yes, In 2024 the Dems ran as champions of institutions and traditions. Literally conservatives.
