I do overnight caregiving and I can’t eat dinner until my client goes to bed because, honestly my food is way more exciting than his and I don’t want him to be sad. So that means I end up eating dinner around 9:30 PM in bed. It’s not great.

I remember when I used to watch the clock, afraid of sunrise because I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep once it appeared and I wasn’t ready to go to bed. My how the times have changed.

I need to get on this train. For me, dinner is at like 8-9PM and bedtime is 12-1AM… I’m 40. I’ve always been like this but I think it’s getting less and less sustainable.

5-7AM on weekdays, depending on if I need to go into the office or not. 10-2 on weekends, depending on how long I can sleep!

Yeah, sounds like sustainability is going to be an issue. I definitely could not do that with any regularity, now.

Don’t be afraid, fellow senior! Old age has its benefits.

I’m sure the benefits will kick in any time now. Any time…

for real. i eat when i am hungry, sleep when I am tired. Probably age (46) and my apnea making me crave real sleep with my mask.

sometimes it’s chilly and rainy and “bed” is 7pm.

I’m on vacation in Spain right now. Dinner was from 22:00 to 23:00 in a local restaurant. Then we went for coffee and icecream because my 3 year old wanted some icecream. We just got back home around midnight. Just in time for bed 😄

Most restaurants don’t even open before 21:00 here and it’s very common to see little kids out and about with their parents.

Take into account that Spain is in the “wrong” timezone.

Correcting for this, dinner was from 21:00 to 22:00. You got home around 23:00, most restaurants don’t open before 20:00.

In my case all are dangerously close to each other:
    - dinner to bedtime
    - breakfast to dinner time
    - dinner to breakfast time
    - breakfast to bedtime
    - bedtime to bedtime
